Active Construction Areas
7800 South Beginning June 27, 2011* crews will begin a hauling operation across 7800 South at approximately 6000 West where it intersects with the Mountain View Corridor. Flaggers will be in place to guide large haul trucks across the roadway. Please follow the direction of the flaggers and use caution as you drive through this area. 8200 South 8200 South is now open to traffic at approximately 5800 West where it intersects with the Mountain View Corridor. Shoulder restrictions will remain in place throughout the construction of the bridges over 8200 South. Please use caution when driving through this area and obey posted speed limits.
Dannon Way Beginning June 27, 2011* crews will begin a hauling operation across Dannon Way at approximately 5800 West where it intersects with Mountain View Corridor. Flaggers will be in place to guide large haul trucks across the roadway. Please follow the direction of the flaggers and use caution as you drive through this area.
Wells Park Rd. Beginning on or about June 20, 2011* Wells Park Road will be closed temporarily at approximately 6000 West where it intersects with Mountain View Corridor. This closure will be in place through July. The Mountain View Corridor team is pursuing a permanent closure of Wells Park Road with West Jordan City, which is required to complete construction of the new roadway. Please adjust your travel accordingly.
Old Bingham Hwy. Beginning June 27, 2011* crews will begin a hauling operation across Old Bingham Highway at approximately 5800 West where it intersects with Mountain View Corridor. Flaggers will be in place to guide large haul trucks across the roadway. Please follow the direction of the flaggers and use caution as you drive through this area.
Daybreak Pkwy. Construction has begun on Daybreak Parkway at approximately 5200 West where it intersects with the Mountain View Corridor. Flaggers are in place to provide traffic control while large trucks cross the roadway. This flagging operation is expected to last until mid July. Please use caution when driving through this area, and watch for flaggers to direct you through the construction zone.
11800 South 11800 South is now closed at approximately 5200 West between Daybreak Parkway and Vadania Drive. This is a permanent closure of the existing alignment of 11800 South from Daybreak Parkway to Vadania Drive. Construction crews will realign 11800 South to its new location where it will connect to Mountain View Corridor. 11800 South to the east and to the west of Mountain View Corridor remains open. Alternate Routes are available through 4000 West and Grandville Avenue for traffic to access Daybreak Parkway. This includes pedestrian traffic. During construction, concrete barrier will be placed on each side of the closure to prevent vehicle and pedestrian access into the construction zone.
12600 South Traffic is now shifted from the south side of 12600 South to the north side of the roadway at approximately 4700 West where Mountain View Corridor intersects with 12600 South. This has changed the configuration from one lane in each direction to two lanes in each direction. Crews will begin to reconstruct the south side of 12600 South to tie-in to the Mountain View Corridor. This traffic pattern will be in place until fall 2011*. A pedestrian pathway has been designated on the north side of the roadway. Please do not walk or ride your bike through the construction area on the south side of the road.
13400 South Beginning in early July* traffic will be shifted from the south side of 13400 South to the north side of the roadway at approximately 4700 West where Mountain View Corridor intersects with 13400 South. This will change the configuration from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction. Crews will then reconstruct the south side of 13400 South to tie-in to the Mountain View Corridor. This traffic pattern will be in place until fall 2011*. Please use caution when driving through this area and obey posted speed limits.
Redwood Road Shoulder restrictions are in place on Redwood Road near 16000 South. These restrictions will allow construction crews to install utilities under Redwood Road. Lane shifts are now in place in the southbound lanes in this area. New striping is in place to direct you through the construction area. The lane shift is scheduled to last for approximately five weeks*. All traffic lanes will remain open. Please use caution as you drive through this area and obey posted speed limits.
